Need help? The guys at Help think you do! They have come up with chic little boxes that contain every day needs. Have a headache? The pack includes 12 acetaminophen caplets. Have you cut yourself? That pack includes 8 white bandages. Now, if you’re just bored, you can go to their little section aptly called “Help! I’m bored“. Very entertaining. :)

I’m such a fan of Kotex’s new ad campaign. The 90-year-old company recently launched a new line of products called “U” by Kotex. One of the new commercials features a young woman mocking typical ads for feminine products. She opens up by saying “How do I feel about my period? I love it.” She then continues to mock the traditional ads that feature blue liquid being poured on feminine products by saying, “The ads on TV are really helpful because they use that blue liquid and I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s what’s supposed to happen.’ “ The ads also mock traditional ads that feature “racially ambiguous” actresses doing yoga in white spandex pants, sleeping in a bed full of white sheets, running on a beach, or dancing at a nightclub. I’m sorry, but the last thing I want to do on my period is wear white spandex pants and run on a beach. I think the ads portray the products realistically. Kotex isn’t trying to make menstruation some great experience, but instead they are creating awareness about the importance of realism when advertising this type of product. Great job Kotex!

Check out Casey’s new puppy! His name is Romeo, and he’s an English Bulldog. He likes to sniff the butts of other dogs while chasing them around in a circle, but hopefully soon the other pups will warm up to him and play. Romeo doesn’t know how to bark yet, but it’s just a matter of time, I’m sure.

Lady Gaga may love to play the “love game”, but I just recently got myself and my partner-in-crime, Rachel Cannon, addicted to The Font Game, available on iPhone and iPod touches (and hey, in a couple days, perhaps on the iPad too! Who’s lining up in front of the Apple store on Saturday? Not me).
The Font Game is brought to you by I Love Typography, to test your true love for typography by introducing 3 difficulty levels where you get to name the font from 4 possible candidates. It’s a great opportunity to get your typographic learn on, not to mention find gorgeous new fonts you’d love to own. I’ve already fallen in love with a few, you know, the usual light weight serifs, exactly my “type”… There goes my first (bad) typography joke of the day.
